Innacurate terrain mesh elevations

The terrain elevations obtained from Google Earth are not consistently the same every time. Depending on the level of zooming and detail different data sets are used by Google Earth to calculate terrain elevations, and sometimes the same terrain elevation at a certain point differs according to the site extents. Some features like roads or paths may not be visible when a terrain mesh is imported to AutoCAD or contour lines are created.

If possible, check some terrain elevation at the site in some key points and compare them to the elevation obtained from Google Earth to assess the accuracy obtained.

The expected accuracy for terrain elevations obtained from Google Earth may be within a few inches/centimeters to several feet/meters.

For this reasons the terrain meshes obtained from Google Earth using CAD-Earth are recommend to be used for draft projects where absolute elevation accuracy is not required.
